Monita Tahalea


Full name Monita Angelica Maharani Tahalea (born July 21, 1987), is an Indonesian-blooded Ambon-Austrian-Manado singer who started her career through the Indonesian Idol event in 2005. She is now a singer and songwriter as well as producer.


Being fourth in the Indonesian Idol event, the jazz color of Monita’s unique vocals attracted Indra Lesmana’s attention to producing her first jazz album, Dream, Hope & Faith in 2010. In 2007, Monita also contributed her voice in Yovie Widianto’s album Kemenangan Hati with the singles Selingkuh and Kekasih Sejati and the album Kembali Satu
